PhD Candidate

I am a Computer Science Ph.D. student with research interests in network measurement, fixed and cellular broadband networks, and public policy. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of California Santa Barbara advised by Prof. Elizabeth Belding. My research focuses on understanding internet quality, network performance, and reliability under varying load conditions in both broadband and cellular networks. I am particularly interested in Quality of Service, Quality of Experience and Network Reliability measurements of fixed broadband networks as well as exploring the performance and evolution of cellular networks over time. I apply statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to extract insights from experimental and crowdsourced datasets, aiming to identify and address disparities in digital access among communities. Prior to starting my Ph.D., I completed my M.S. in Computer Science from Purdue University and worked as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Inc., Bellevue, WA. I received my B.E. in Electronics and Communication from Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India.
